Pro Capitalism- Anti Socialism
Dasha grew up in Moscow, USSR for the first 10 years of her life before immigrating the the United States in 1980. Under Communism, her family endured political and religious oppression and persecution. Her father was an artist who was sent to Siberia, because of his paintings. She experienced both Totalitarianism in the USSR and Freedom in America instilling in her true appreciation for American as the land of liberty and opportunity. She is an ardent supporter of the Constitution, free enterprise and our Capitalist economic system. She believes that we must reduce Government overreach in regulating our privately owned business, production, manufacturing and agriculture.
Low Taxes
Though Trump’s tax bill cut taxes for the vast majority of Americans. Following this tax reform, individuals, families, and communities across the country have been reaping the benefits of bigger paychecks, lower taxes, and more economic opportunities. Heritage Foundation study has shown these tax cuts have helped individuals in every Congressional district, including the PA-5. Biden Administration Mandates, have been reversing those cuts, creating unforeseen hardships on families. Dasha supports decreasing taxes even further and increasing the economic freedom of businesses and families. Congress must maintain and extend the TCJA to avoid stifling economic growth and burdening constituents with higher taxes and reduced take-home pay.
Energy Independence
As fuel prices skyrocketing, most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. The price hike on food and goods, heating our homes, filling up our cars, and in every other aspect of our lives, most Americans are feeling the pinch. With Biden’s stroke of a pen, shutting down our Keystone pipeline, as well as fracking, gave Putin a green light to proceed with the Nord Stream pipeline with Germany, that became a geopolitical lever. This does not take in to consideration the number of pipeline workers who are now unemployed, as well as the communities who were dependent on those workers as well. Even though we should be mindful of our environment, we must become energy independent. We must explore and evolve all of the ways we can safely and effectively produce and utilize many energy sources, such as: fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and natural gas), solar power, wind energy, hydropower (using flowing water), nuclear power, biomass (organic matter), geothermal energy (heat from the Earth's core), and tidal power (harnessing the energy from ocean tides). Energy should be an open, competitive marketplace, which will control the cost.
Jobs
Though we were poised for a strong recovery from Covid-19. It has been 4 years where the unemployment rates have fluctuated, and job creation numbers have been inflated. Many are still unemployed, or work for lower wages. Companies are on a hiring freeze due to tumultuous political landscape. The draconian and inconsistent rules have put many small business in hardship, some shutting their doors forever. The $15 minimum wage is destroying entry level jobs, as well as mom and pop restaurants and business. It is critical that the Government gets out of the way of employers, workers, schools and families. Creating a stronghold on small business, farming and energy industries, by creating regulations.
